Aquatics Physical Therapy Assistant

Full or Part-Time

Looking to make a splash in your career and work in a warm, relaxing environment?  HARTZ Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time or part-time licensed Physical Therapist Assistant interested in aquatic therapy. We currently have 4 warm therapy pools and the demand for aquatic therapy is high.  You will work with our Director of Aquatic Therapy to expand our aquatics program and our ability to schedule 1-on-1 aquatic therapy appointments. The caseload will also include orthopedic patients outside of the pool. Responsibilities will include following a customized treatment plan for each patient, including manual therapy, rehabilitation exercises, and modalities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with a physical therapist and our Director of Aquatics to manage a caseload of aquatic patients. (if aquatics is slow, you may be asked to help with land patients as well)
  • Willingness to take an active role in marketing yourself and the company to the community
  • Effectively communicating with patients to educate them about their plan of care
  • Consistent and accurate documentation of patient care while working with billing dept to ensure appropriate reimbursement.

Required Skills

  • Associate degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
  • Current State Licensure
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative to master new skills
  • Consistently friendly and professional demeanor
  • Evening availability required

Encouraged Skills

  • Knowledge of WebPT billing software
  • Advanced certifications and areas of interest
  • Prior outpatient PT experience is encouraged, but not required
  • Indirect supervision license is a bonus, although new graduates are welcome to apply
