What makes Leah special?
Leah grew up in Lebanon County and attended Penn State. She began her career in California at large companies such as Target and Macy’s. Following that, she ventured to Luna Physical Therapy where she improved operational efficiency by 250%. Finding a yearning to return to her roots, she came home to Lebanon, PA and worked for a law firm there developing and then managing the real estate arm of their company. She had been looking for the next step and is excited about joining the HARTZ PT team!
When she is not working, she is either practicing one of her many hobbies like (singing, dancing, field hockey, figure skating, and the list goes on!), taking care of dogs, or exploring new places with her friends and family.
Want to know more? Here’s a little Q & A…
What’s something that has surprised you about your chosen career path?
Something that has surprised me is how much creativity goes into the role of an operations manager. I am constantly looking for innovative ways to make the business run more smoothly and solve problems, so I get to think out-of-the-box while designing these solutions. I love it!
If you weren’t an operations manager what would you be doing especially if salary wasn’t a concern?
If I wasn’t an operations manager and salary wasn’t a concern, I would constantly be trying out tons of new hobbies, traveling the world with my family and friends, and spending as much time surrounded by dogs as possible!
What energizes you at work?
Besides my daily matcha latte, interacting with my team and seeing that I helped them in some way gives me energy! If I can make someone’s workflow even a little bit easier and give them back some time in their day, that’s something I truly value.
What is one thing that instantly makes your day better?
I am a huge dog person, so if I get to interact with any dog for even 5 seconds, it’s like a positive reset to my mood!
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My dad told me that you can’t control what may happen to you, but you can control your reaction to it, and everything happens for us to teach us something. This reminder has really helped me through every stressful situation, and it has allowed me to maintain a positive attitude while I continue to grow through even the most unexpected lessons.
What are you passionate about?
I am incredibly passionate about helping people improve their overall well-being. Whether it’s their health, career, home, routine… you name it, I love to help make a personal difference!
What are your hobbies?
I truly have so many hobbies, and it seems like the list keeps growing! Currently, I am actively spending time each week singing, hip hop dancing, playing field hockey, learning pickleball, and figure skating.
Do you have any pets?
I have a sweet senior pitbull named Brooklyn! She is 14 years old, but you couldn’t tell by meeting her. She is the happiest, most energetic girl, and she will instantly bring a smile to your face!
What’s the first concert you ever went to? Or what concert would you like to go to?
The first concert I ever went to was Hilary Duff. My friends and I were huge Lizzie McGuire fans when we were kids, so this was a big deal for me, haha. My three best friends and I now have a tradition where we play “Hey Now” by Hilary Duff as the last song at big celebrations and weddings. It’s silly, but we love it and it always turns into a core memory!
What’s on your bucket list?
At the top of my bucket list is an adventurous vacation full of hiking, ziplining, snorkeling, and anything else super active I can do! I’m hoping to take a trip to Costa Rica in the near future to do just that.
