HARTZ PT Donates $12,500 to Lancaster Downtowners

For Immediate Release

HARTZ PT donates $12,500 to the Lancaster DowntownersLancaster, PA, August 12, 2026 – HARTZ Physical Therapy proudly presented a $12,500 check this week to Lancaster Downtowners. This local nonprofit supports older adults in Lancaster City in living independently while staying socially connected and engaged. The funds were raised through the 5th annual Spring Swing Golf Tournament, hosted by HARTZ PT on June 5th at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, PA.

Founded by HARTZ PT therapists and golf enthusiasts Daulton Rutter, PT, DPT, OCS and Kevin Sisbarro, DPT, the Spring Swing has grown steadily in both attendance and impact. ” There’s something special about a day that’s this much fun also making a real difference,” said Brian Hartz, owner of HARTZ Physical Therapy. “Lancaster Downtowners helps our seniors stay active, connected, and independent, and we’re honored to play a small part in that.

Lancaster Downtowners is a community of seniors that fosters independence, social connection, and lifelong learning, in part through its “Just One Call” volunteer program that helps members with everyday needs like transportation, home maintenance, and technology. “In my office, I have a plaque that reads, ‘It’s a rare person who can take care of hearts while also taking care of business.’ I thought about that this morning when HARTZ Physical Therapy presented the Lancaster Downtowners with a check for $12,500, the proceeds of their charity golf tournament and auction. Because it’s even rarer for an entire company to do that. We are very grateful for their kindness and support. HARTZ HAS HEART,” said Dick Murphy, Downtowners President.

It was a gorgeous day on the course, and the silent auction added an extra dose of friendly competition to the afternoon. “It was a perfect day out there — sunshine, great company, and a silent auction that brought out everyone’s competitive side,” said Daulton Rutter, who co-chaired the event. “We’re grateful to every participant, volunteer, and our primary sponsor, Roseville Wealth Management.

Through the HARTZ PT Charitable Organization, founded in 2020, the company contributes over $1,000 per employee and over 50 volunteer hours annually to support local nonprofits. To date, HARTZ PT has raised more than $450,000 through annual initiatives like the Spring Swing Golf Tournament, the Fall Blast 5K, as well as their 25th Anniversary Grant Giveaway in 2025.

Past charitable Spring Swing beneficiaries have been Beards for Brothers, Off the Streets and Clare House.
