Want to know more? Here’s a little Q & A…
What’s something that has surprised you about your chosen career path?
The constant evolution of research with treatment techniques and interventions. There is always a way to learn something new, whether its a manual technique or different specialty altogether. I knew there were many different avenues in physical therapy but after practicing, it continues to surprise me all the ways to learn and grow as a professional. It allows for creativity and diversity in more ways than I even thought.
What energizes you at work?
Achieving patient goals and working together as a team, both with the patient and co-workers.
Most important advice you give your patients?
Ask questions! It is helpful in your recovery to understand why you are doing an exercise, stretch or other task. Along with what you should be feeling and what your goals are. I love working with my patients, explaining thoughts on our plan and listening to what they are feeling.
What is one thing that instantly makes your day better?
Getting to see my daughter smile and laugh. I have loved watching her grow up and see the world through her perspective.
Where would you be right now if you had zero obligations and money didn’t matter?
Sitting on the beach reading a book.
What’s one habit you’re trying to form?
Getting to bed earlier and spending some time decompressing before bed, with stretching and breathing techniques.

Continued learning and growth. I feel that every one should continue to try new things in both their personal and professional lives. You never know if you like something until you try it and you never know what you are capable of until you try.
