What makes Jen special?

Jen was a student with Wendy this past winter and finished up PTA school at Central Penn.

Jen and her husband, Dave, live in the Ephrata area. They have lived in Lancaster County for more than 30 years. Jen has a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education and went back to school to become licensed as a PTA. She has a passion for health and wellness as well as a love for helping people. Her interest in wellness led her to become a certified Revelation Wellness Instructor, allowing her to carry out the Revelation Wellness mission to “Love God, Get Healthy, Be Whole, and Love Others”.

Jen and Dave have four grown children, a daughter-in-law, and a son-in-law. Jen loves spending time with her family. She is enthusiastically involved in her church and looks forward to serving in the community with Hartz PT. In her free time, Jen enjoys traveling, hiking, exercising, and connecting with people.

Why did you choose to be a PT/PTA for your profession?

I have always been interested in the functioning of the human body, and I love helping people.

What’s something that has surprised you about your chosen career path?

During my internship with Hartz PT, I had the opportunity to work with aquatic therapy and was pleasantly surprised at how great an option aquatic therapy is for some patients!

What energizes you at work?

Helping a patient meet their goals and bringing an aspect of fun to therapy.

Most important advice you give your patients?

Keep moving!  Remember your Home Exercises!What is one thing that instantly makes your day better? Exercising

Where would you be right now if you had zero obligations and money didn’t matter?

Traveling to new places.

What’s one habit you’re trying to form (or un-form)?

What are your hobbies?

Hiking, playing games

What is your favorite Sport to watch?  Who’s your team?

College Basketball – Duke;  I enjoy watching the Olympic sporting events!

What makes you laugh?

My husband enjoys making spontaneous comments and jokes that make me laugh!

Learn how to water ski

What do you do for fun?

Spend time with my family, spend time outdoors, play games
