What Makes Kyra Special
Kyra brings a warm, positive energy to every interaction—something our patients notice right away. With prior experience as a Patient Care Coordinator at LGH, she understands how to keep things running smoothly while making each person feel welcomed and cared for.
She’s passionate about staying active and living a balanced lifestyle, whether that’s hiking, running, or spending time in nature. That same mindset carries into her work, where she values connection, positivity, and helping others feel at ease from the moment they walk through our doors.
Kyra is currently working full-time with our team and will continue part-time while she pursues her PTA education—bringing both dedication and a strong future focus to her role.
You’ll find Kyra supporting patients at both our East and Manheim offices, always ready with a friendly smile and a helpful hand.
Want to know more? Here’s a little Q & A…
What energizes you at work?
What energizes me most at work is interacting with patients and being able to make their experience feel easy and positive! In my previous role, I worked with a wide range of patients that were dealing with complex and stressful health conditions so I really value being someone who can bring a sense of comfort, clarity, and support to their visit.
What is the biggest misconception about your job?
I believe one of the biggest misconceptions is that patient care coordinator’s are mainly scheduling/front desk role. In reality, we are a big part of a patient care and experience. We are often the first and last person the patients interact with so we help with creating the tone for a positive experience for patients. It may be by answering questions, helping them understand their appointment schedule, keeping them consistent, or supporting them throughout their recovery.
What’s something that has surprised you about your chosen career path?
I think what surprised me most was realizing how much I value the patient experience side of care. I initially started in nursing, which was very insightful into healthcare. I found I’m drawn to roles where I can support patients throughout their treatment and what led me to my decision to enroll into PTA school.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about creating a supportive and positive experience for patients. I think even small interactions can make a big difference, especially for those in pain or unsure about their recovery. I enjoy being someone who helps make their experience smoother and comfortable.
What is one thing that instantly makes your day better?
A good interaction with a patient and just an overall positive environment. It sets the tone for the day!
Where would you be right now if you had zero obligations and money didn’t matter?
I would absolutely be at a beautiful beach surrounded by so many tropical plants! I love nature and would happily travel throughout the warmer climates!
What’s your favorite place locally?
One of my favorite places locally is Longwood Gardens! Being around plants & outdoors is a very peaceful environment. I really enjoy walking around the gardens because I can stay active while mentally recharging.
Do you have any pets?
My family pets are a pug and a cat. My pug, Fynn, is very cuddly and loves snuggling. My cat, Tommy, is very playful and likes tackling Fynn. They both go on walks outside together.
What are your hobbies?
I like to stay very active whether I’m hiking, walking/running, biking, or even weight lifting. It keeps me busy and eases my mind from the hectic work day while doing something beneficial for my heath. Aside from those, I love reading and decompressing with a book is one of my favorite things to do.
How do you like to start or end your day?
I like to start my day early and with a hot cup of coffee. Sometimes I watch the sunrise and water my plants usually. It makes me feel grounded and ready to take on the day but keeping my morning slow.
