What Makes Natalie Special
Natalie brings a one-of-a-kind blend of creativity, athleticism, and scientific curiosity to physical therapy. Her journey to becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant has been anything but ordinary — from baking and food laboratory work to nonprofit service and coaching color guard, she has spent years learning how to understand people, anticipate their needs, and help them perform at their best.
That passion for teaching deepened when she began instructing at Pure Barre, where she developed a knack for breaking down movement technique and tailoring modifications so every client could achieve their most effective workout. It was this experience that revealed her true calling: connecting her love of coaching to the science of how the human body moves and heals.
Natalie combines her hands-on background with a team-first mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for collaboration. She believes the best patient outcomes happen when everyone’s strengths are in the room — and she’s always eager to both share and learn.
Want to know more? Here’s a little Q & A…
Why did you choose to be a PT/PTA for your profession?
I like helping people, and I grew up very close to my grandparents and would like to improve the lives those in similar situations.
If you weren’t a PT/PTA what you be doing, especially if salary wasn’t a concern?
I would run a cat sanctuary or write a travel blog about traveling with my cat.
Most important advice you give your patients?
Have patience with your body/injury/replacement and give yourself grace. The body is changing all the time and different stages of recovery will look and feel different.
What is one thing that instantly makes your day better?
Getting home to a clean house or fresh bedding. Even better, if someone has cleaned for me because it took none of my mental space, and I just get to enjoy the serenity of tidy cleanliness.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
Take what serves you and leave the rest. It was from a student’s mother.
If you could meet one person, living or dead, real or fictional, and have a conversation with them, who would you meet and what would you talk about?
I would want to meet my Nonna (my Mom’s Mom) when she was 25. There is nothing specific I would want to talk to her about, more so just to have the privilege to meet her and see what she was like and what she believed and valued before starting a family.
Do you have a nickname? How did you get it?
Bandaid, I would get injured during color guard a lot.
Favorite Sport to watch? Who’s your team?
(Winter) Indoor Color Guard – Fusion Winterguard or Fantasia Winterguard
What’s one item you can’t leave home without?
My water bottle!
