HARTZ Physical Therapy offers specialized Amputee Rehab & Prosthetic Training through our NeuroRehabilitation Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy programs for upper and lower limb amputees. Our therapists are trained to help you regain strength, restore function, and return to the activities that matter most to you.

Whether you are in the early stages of recovery or months post-amputation, our team will meet you where you are. We create individualized treatment plans focused on your specific goals — from taking your first steps with a prosthetic to returning to work, hobbies, and an active lifestyle.

 

Our Services

Recovering from an amputation requires more than healing — it requires relearning, rebuilding, and regaining confidence. Our Amputee Rehab & Prosthetic Training specialists work with patients at every stage of recovery, from post-surgical rehab through prosthetic training and beyond. We collaborate closely with your prosthetist and physician to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care every step of the way.

Jamie Hreniuk, DPT | Physical Therapist

Jamie is a physical therapist with specialized expertise in amputee rehabilitation and prosthetic training. She is passionate about helping individuals regain mobility, confidence, and independence following limb loss, with a strong emphasis on gait training, functional mobility, and return to meaningful activities.

Through her experience working with amputees in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, Jamie developed a strong passion for prosthetic rehabilitation that has continued to grow in the outpatient setting, where she enjoys the challenge of helping patients progress toward higher-level mobility and return to the activities they love.

Jamie creates individualized treatment plans focused on maximizing function and quality of life through prosthetic gait training, strength and balance training, and functional mobility practice. She values a collaborative approach, working closely with prosthetists, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to support each patient throughout their rehabilitation journey.

 

Kailey Kelly, DPT | Physical Therapist

Kailey has 4 years’ experience as a neurological outpatient physical therapist, providing one-on-one care, where she has worked with various individuals in both pre and post amputation recoveries. She is passionate about helping her patients maximize their independence and confidence with overall mobility with prosthetic training. Her approach is rooted in personalized, evidence-based care.

Collaboration is central to Kailey’s practice: she partners closely with prosthetists and her PT and OT counterparts to coordinate care every step of the way. Above all, Kailey is dedicated to walking alongside her patients as they work together towards achieving their goals.

 

Emily Beck, OTR/L | Occupational Therapist

As an occupational therapist, Emily is passionate about helping individuals with limb loss regain independence and confidence in everyday life. She provides personalized care focused on pre and post prosthetic training, self-care, home management, work, and leisure activities.

Using evidence-based interventions, adaptive strategies, and functional task training, Emily helps patients maximize prosthetic use and return to the activities that matter most. She collaborates closely with prosthetists, physical therapists, physicians, and families to support each patient’s goals and recovery journey.
