What Makes Peter Special
We’re thrilled to welcome Peter Juzwiak, PTA to our team! Peter brings five years of hands-on physical therapy experience working at an outpatient clinic in Shrewsbury, PA. Beyond his expertise in ortho, Peter is certified in PWR!Moves for Parkinson’s treatment and is eager to expand his skills in neuro rehabilitation—making him a perfect fit for our growing neuro program.
Peter is also making a move closer to home, as his fiancé teaches at Manheim Township. Outside of work, his enthusiasm for learning and helping patients achieve meaningful progress truly sets him apart. We’re excited to pair him with Dan at our West location, where he’ll continue making a difference for our patients.
Want to know more? Here’s a little Q & A…
Why did you choose to be a PT/PTA for your profession?
The first reason I chose to become a PTA is I have always been interested in the medical field. I come from a very medical family with my dad being an equine veterinarian and my sister being a neurological physical therapist. Seeing them work and hearing about their experiences helped me realize that I wanted to do something similar. The second reason is I love interacting with people and helping them achieve their goals that pain and injuries try to take away.
What professional accomplishment of yours are you most proud of?
I am most proud of earning my PWR certification and becoming a specialist in treating people with Parkinson’s Disease. I am very passionate about helping this population!
Most important advice you give your patients?
Do not be afraid to try things that may be hard. So often, pain limits our minds and prevents us from doing things that we can still do! Push yourself and you just might be surprised what you are capable of!
What is one thing that instantly makes your day better?
Seeing a patient achieve something that they have not been able to do for a while!
What’s your favorite famous or inspirational quote?
“You miss 100% of the shots you do not take” – Wayne Gretzky.
What’s your favorite place locally?
Prince Street Cafe. My fiance and I had our first date there and I love coffee!
What’s your favorite tradition (holiday or otherwise?)
On Christmas Eve, my mom buys the whole family matching pajamas and we eat our big Christmas dinner wearing them! It is so cute seeing all my nieces and nephews together and everybody matching!
Favorite Sport to watch? Who’s your team?
I am a huge sports fan, specifically ice hockey, lacrosse, and football! Most weekends you can find me watching either the Washington Capitals, Baltimore Ravens, or Michigan State Spartans. I also am a big Formula 1 racing fan!
What’s one item you can’t leave home without?
Coffee. I cannot begin my day without a fresh cup!
What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from home?
South Korea. I was adopted when I was 4 months old, so I do not remember much unfortunately.
