Neurological Physical Therapist

Are you passionate about Neurology and want to make a difference?  We are looking for a full-time, outpatient Neurological Physical Therapist to help expand the neuro program at HARTZ Physical Therapy.  Previous history working with stroke, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis is required.   The goal of achieving advanced certifications and/or becoming a board-certified NCS clinician through ABPTS is a bonus!  You will manage a full caseload of patients, including supervision of a treatment team, and work in tandem with a Neuro OT while providing the highest level of personalized care & support to which our patients have become accustomed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing full patient caseload independently or as leader of a treatment team
  • Willingness to take an active role in marketing yourself and the company to the community
  • Working as part of a cohesive team to ensure the highest level of patient care
  • Consistent and accurate documentation of patient care to ensure appropriate billing and collection from insurance companies
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients with neurological conditions, including but not limited to stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and other related disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, including setting goals and objectives in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care and continuity of treatment.
  • Candidate must be willing to develop relationships with local physician groups and hospitals as well as engage the surrounding community to build relationships and support.
  • Stay current with advancements in neurological rehabilitation and participate in professional development opportunities, including workshops, conferences, and continuing education courses.
  • There is a potential to see some orthopedic patients while building a neuro caseload.

Required Skills

  • Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)
  • Current State Licensure
  • At least 2 years working with neurological conditions (inpatient or outpatient) and an interest to continue learning in this specialty
  • Certification or specialized training in neurological rehabilitation preferred
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of individuals with neurological disorders
  • Passion for pioneering and growing physical therapy services within a practice
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Works well independently and as a team
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative to master new skills
  • Consistently friendly and professional demeanor

  • Knowledge of WebPT billing software
  • Advanced degrees and certifications
  • Direct Access license
  • Evening availability
