HARTZ Physical Therapy is celebrating its 25th year serving the community in 2025. To commemorate the milestone, the company will be supporting the Lancaster community in a big way! Twenty-five Lancaster County charities will be selected to receive a grant throughout 2025. Twenty-four charities will receive $2,500 and one lucky charity will be selected to receive 100% of the proceeds from the annual Fall Blast 5K & Kids Color Run held every October, estimated to be $25,000!

Nominated organizations who meet eligibility requirements will be asked to complete an additional information form. Nominations for organizations who wish to be considered for the Fall Blast 5K proceeds must be received by January 10, 2025. Nominations for $2,500 grants will be accepted throughout the year, but don’t delay! In order to have the best chance of winning, submit your nomination today!
Rules:
- Only one vote per email address
- Organizations must have a local headquarters and staff or volunteers who operate regularly in Lancaster County
- All proceeds must be designated to be utilized in Lancaster County for the sole purpose of the charity’s primary mission.
- Applicants must be registered with the government as a 501(c)(3) organization.
$2,500 Monthly Selection Criteria:
Four selected charities will be eligible to receive one of two $2,500 grants each month during 2025. The staff of HARTZ Physical Therapy, their patients and their social media followers (Instagram and Facebook) will play an integral role in the selection of the winners each month! If a charity is not selected during a specific month after the vote, it will return to the selection process for a second chance.
Fall Blast Selection Criteria:
The $25,000 Fall Blast Beneficiary will be found among the monthly $2,500 nominees. The Fall Blast Director & Committee will select three finalists who will be required to fill out an application/questionnaire providing specific info, such as financials, etc. The finalists will make a presentation on Friday February 7th to the staff of HARTZ PT, who will then choose the winner.
Fall Blast 5K Finalist Applicant Requirements:
In addition to the general requirements listed above, organizations must meet the following additional requirements as well in order to be eligible for the Fall Blast 5K proceeds:
(1) Total annual revenue generated by the applicant cannot be greater than $3,000,000 in the most recently completed fiscal year.
(2) Applicants must sign a contract pledging their assistance in the following ways:
- Marketing the event to their supporters to increase community exposure and participation
- Actively engaging corporate partners to support the event through sponsorship
- Applicant must designate at least 1 employee or volunteer to attend at monthly planning meetings (April through September) who will be responsible for updating the committee on progress with designated initiatives.
- The Executive Director, CEO, or similar leader of the organization must be available at the event itself (first Saturday of October 8am-12pm) as well as a check presentation following the event. (Dates TBD).
