What Makes Beth Special

Beth joined Hartz Physical Therapy in 2022 to help redesign HARTZ collateral, grow advertising, patient outreach initiatives and various other marketing duties.  She is great at getting us to try new things and forcing staff out of their comfort zone… getting them to make videos, write blogs and agree to be on billboards!  She brings over 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising, brand building and social media working for both national & international sports & fashion brands and local small businesses.

When she’s not working, Beth enjoys time with her husband & two busy teenagers.  She enjoys traveling, loves cooking, entertaining, photography and finding ways to exercise her creativity.

Want to know more?  Here’s a little Q & A…

What’s something that has surprised you about your chosen career path?

How I’ve been able to parlay my love of creativity into a marketing/advertising career spanning 25+ years from sports & fashion to beer & and now a growing physical therapy clinic.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

“Never accept NO for an answer.”  Advice my Dad gave me when the college I really wanted to go to didn’t accept me.  He said, “are you going to take NO for an answer?  Write them back and tell them why they are making a mistake.”  I did and I got accepted.

Is there any experience you think everyone should be required to have? What is it?

Other than traveling out of the country. I think every American needs to visit the World Trade Center memorial.  My husband and I were working in New York on 9/11 and I can still see, smell and feel what it was like that day and for months afterwards.

What is one thing that instantly makes your day better?

When my teenagers want to hang out, maybe give me a hug and say I love you before bed, when my husband makes me laugh, when my dog greets me like I’ve been gone a year, and a chilled bottle of prosecco or champagne.

What’s your favorite tradition (holiday or otherwise?).

I love every holiday and tradition, but really my favorite tradition are family vacations when it’s everybody…  my family, my parents and my brother and his family.  We’ve had quite a lot of epic adventurous!

Favorite Sport to watch?  Who’s your team?

I’m not a big sports watcher.  I LOVE watching my son Ryan bike with his Mountain Bike Team and my daughter Josie play club & school volleyball.  It’s also entertaining to watch my husband Bill scream his frustration during every season with his beloved JETS.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

That I used to host a TV show called Rocklive in the early 90’s. I interviewed all the rock bands that came through Baltimore on tour like Poison, Warrant, Nine Inch Nails, etc., and I did an episode of America’s Most Wanted.

What makes you laugh?

My husband Bill…24/7!  He’s a great impressionist and very funny!

Do you have any pets?

Yes, my sweet boy Tucker..a terrier mix.

What’s your favorite famous or inspirational quote?

“Life is not an obstacle course, but a dance lesson!”..that’s in my High School yearbook and I still love it!

What’s something you’ve done, but you’ll never do again?

Drive the steep cliff side roads in St. Lucia in a jeep with no doors or seat belts!  I’m terrified of heights and there are NO guardrails on that island!

What’s on your bucket list?

1 – A trip to Africa for a safari and then off to the Seychelles to chill on the beach.  2-  Retire to my lake house in New Jersey for part of the year and then spend the other 4 winter months renting a house or apartment in a different part of the world.  3 – Speak French or another language fluently. 4 – Build a wine cellar in my basement. 5 –  attend a taping of SNL. 6 – Host the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (I’ve wanted to do that since I was 5.)

What do you do for fun?

I love to entertain, have cocktails with friends, spend summers at the lake, read, be with my family and move furniture around my house to freshen it up!

Who would play you in a movie about your life? Who would be the supporting cast?

Meg Ryan:  me
Josh Duhamel:   as my husband
Harry Styles:  my son
Jenna Ortega: as my daughter

What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from home?

Australia & Thailand
